Nico · Behind the journal
A bold domain.
A working theory.
I’m Nico. Entrepreneur. Strong opinions, open to revision.
Yes, I called it Follow Me, Not Your Dreams. A little presumptuous? Sure. I bought the domain anyway.
I’m interested in what happens after the inspiration wears off. When you have to make a decision, have the awkward conversation, or do the work you were so enthusiastic about last Tuesday.
I write about entrepreneurship, decisions, productivity, and resilience. I’m figuring things out as I go. When an idea survives contact with real life, I write it down. When it doesn’t, that’s usually worth writing about too.
Reality gets a vote
Two projects crashed within a week. A key hire left. A supplier delayed a shipment by a month. That cluster became the starting point for my Gaussian Resilience Curve essay.
You can have a beautiful plan and still need a buffer. You can be disciplined and still need rest. I’m interested in the kind of thinking that leaves room for both.
“Resilience is not the avoidance of pain; it is the mastery of response.”
Ambition. With some breathing room.
I like small bets, reversible decisions, and systems that still work on a bad day. I care about getting things done. I also like being able to sit still without turning it into a performance metric.
Clarity over noise. Presence over pace. There’s plenty to build. I’d like to be awake for it.
Take what holds up
Essays give an idea room to develop. Notes stop a little sooner. Field Notes start with something that actually happened.
Read, disagree, try something. If it helps, keep it. The domain is confident. You’re still allowed to think for yourself.
